Project Information

Queering is a bold display typeface family inspired by queer publications and ephemera, updated for modern expression. The name Queering comes from the activity of ‘Queering a Space’ — transgressing fixed categories — such as gender and sexuality.

Queering is variable and contains ten weights (Regular to Heavy, standard and extended), alongside a large library of unicode emojis that scale with each weight, several OpenType features, and more. Queering is free and open source, covered under the SIL v1.1 Open Font License, with all optional donations benefiting the Ali Forney Center in New York.
